SWIR District X DGE (14-15) Election Notification

                                                  ELECTION NOTICE

 

 

                                         Notice No:1/DGE Election dt 01.01.14

 

                    DISTRICT GOVERNOR (E) 2014-15 ELECTIONS.

To: The Club Presidents/Secretaries /Y's leaders & all concerned

Y's leader,

The DG(E) elections 2014-15 will be conducted at the 3rd District Council & Conference at YMC Pandalam on 2nd February (Sunday) 2014, 4PM.

 

Good standing clubs in SWIR District X are called upon to send their nominations to the DG for the post of the DG(E).

 

The clubs should send the names of only candidates deemed eligible ,committed and subordinate to the organization & its goals ,willing to dedicate ample time for organizational activities and programmes (including those on Sundays & outstation).

 

1.They must be from clubs which are good standing and have paid District ,Regional, Area & International dues in time.

 

2.The candidate should be a member with 5 years continuous standing in Y's dom without break.

 

3.He should have been a President of a club.

 

4.The candidate should not be under any disciplinary action under the new Guideline 308 of the International Constitution.

 

5.The candidate should not be under any disability to contest under the SWIR Constitution.

 

 

The official communication for the election will be sent to each club by regular post .All eligible clubs are free to send their nominations till the 31st January 2014 to the District Governor. This e-letter can be treated as sufficient notice for the DG(E) elections.

 

Let us remember that in our organization ,it is the office which seeks the candidate and not vice versa .It is most ideal and desirable that we have candidates who are elected unanimously .It is always better to avoid the animosity of the elections and evolve a consensus . May I most humbly call upon all our clubs and Y's leaders to arrive at such a consensus and maintain our rich traditions of harmony and co-operation.
